Expanding Our Team

Welcoming Helge Christopher Bjørnholm to OffshoreCrew Kristiansand

We are thrilled to welcome Helge Christopher Bjørnholm as our new Crew Operation and Logistics Coordinator at OffshoreCrew’s office in Kristiansand. With his extensive background at sea and deep operational experience, Helge brings valuable maritime expertise to our growing team.

Helge has dedicated over a decade to the Norwegian Coast Guard, where he served in multiple key positions such as Operations Officer, Navigation Officer, and Safety Leader. His responsibilities ranged from navigation operations to emergency response, crane operations, medical treatment, and inspections. In addition, he has contributed to maritime safety training as an instructor at RelyOn Nutec.

Helge holds a Bachelor's degree in Nautical Science from the University of South-Eastern Norway (formerly HiVe) and has completed officer training at the Naval Academy. He is also certified as a Deck Officer Class 1, with a long list of safety and operational qualifications.

When asked about his favorite parts of working at sea, Helge highlights the serenity and raw power of the ocean:

“Watching the weather change, feeling the sea air, and sipping that first cup of coffee in the early morning while taking in the marine life – and even a proper storm – is something truly special.”

Now settled in Kristiansand with his wife, children, and cat, Helge continues to enjoy the sea in his spare time through fishing and family boating. His hands-on maritime background and calm, structured approach make him a great asset to our operations on land.

We're looking forward to developing our services even further with Helge onboard the Kristiansand team.

Welcome to OffshoreCrew, Helge!
